2024 Miss Scuba Czech Republic Nikol Slynkova

I am Nikol, originally from an inland country in the Czech Republic, where growing up, few believed I could become a marine biologist. I struggled through high school, but my determination and passion for the ocean kept me focused on my dream. I moved to Gold Coast, Australia to pursue my bachelor’s degree after which I completed my honours. I am now in my final year of a PhD, researching the impact of microplastics on coral health.

In 2024, I entered Miss Scuba International with no prior pageant experience, driven by my love for ocean conservation and the desire to grow personally. Placing in the Top 10 was an unexpected honour and encouraged me to keep raising awareness about marine environmental issues. In 2025, I was proud to place 2nd runner-up at Miss Ocean World, which has given me a broader platform to advocate for ocean protection.

Alongside my scientific work, I am a pole dancer and during Miss Ocean World I won the Best Talent award for my routine, showcasing pole dancing as a true art form. I am also a certified scuba diver and a professional mermaid, combining my passions to educate and inspire others about the underwater world in creative ways.

I use my social media platform to spread awareness and the urgent need to protect our oceans, showing people ways to live more sustainably. With determination and passion, I continue to pursue my mission of making a positive impact on the environment.
