Miss Scuba International:

Celebrating Beauty and Marine Conservation 2025

The inaugural Miss Scuba International pageant was held in 2011, marking a significant milestone in the world of beauty pageants. While many pageants embrace noble causes, Miss Scuba International stands out as the first to focus specifically on the health of our oceans. Recognizing that life on Earth began in the oceans, this event was created to honor not only the inner beauty and bravery of modern women but also to advocate for global marine conservation.

Founded by Mr. Robert Lo, the proprietor of the Sipadan Mabul Resort (SMART) and Mabul Water Bungalows, the Miss Scuba International Organization is deeply rooted in the principles of sustainable development within the marine environment. Mr. Lo, a passionate advocate for the oceans, aims to use the pageant as a platform to share the wonders of the underwater world through the lens of beauty queens. He believes that by highlighting the fragility of our oceans, the event can inspire individuals to take small but significant actions to protect marine life.

Moreover, Miss Scuba International seeks to promote safe diving practices through collaboration with professional training organizations worldwide. The pageant also aims to elevate international tourism and foster cultural appreciation, intertwining the celebration of beauty with the urgent need for environmental stewardship. By doing so, Miss Scuba International aspires to make a lasting impact on both the participants and the global audience, encouraging a collective effort to preserve our precious marine ecosystems.
